General conditions

Read our general conditions and terms of use concerning training courses, payments, cancellations, delegates and much more.

Payments

Courses can be paid in advance using a credit/debit card on our website, by calling the training service desk or an invoice will be raised in accordance with our terms and conditions. Please note we do not accept cash for payment on the day.

Cancellation of course 

We reserve the right to cancel the course due to circumstances beyond our control and will refund all fees in full.

Cancellations, transfers and subtitutions

Delegates may cancel a booking, but a fee may still apply. Refunds will be based on the amount of notice provided by the delegate.

• Over 5 working days notice = No charge
• 5 working days or less = 50% fee payable
• 2 working days or less = 100% fee payable

Substitute delegates are welcome at no extra cost.

Delegates

For in person training at a training centre or on site, delegates are required to be physically fit. They are required to to wear a high viz jacket or vest, safety boots and glasses. Delegates are not permitted to wear shorts.

For all courses, delegates are required to have a good understanding of written and spoken English.

Failure to meet the delegate requirements as above may result in either the course being cancelled for your delegate and/or a delay in their ID card and certificate being issued.

If delegates are booked in to do two categories i.e. 3a and 3b, and prove to have had no experience on the
machinery, it will be at the discretion of the instructor whether to continue on both categories or, rather than risk
a fail, only train on one category on the day.

Arrival Time

All IPAF & PASMA courses will start at 8am prompt, other course times will be specified on the booking confirmation. Please ensure all delegates are made aware and arrive in good time - latecomers may not be admitted and full course fees will still apply.

Course Duration

Course durations for in person courses at training centres or on site are clearly stated on the website.

All in-person courses are run on working days only, unless otherwise stated. Some weekend courses may be offered.

Safety

Delegates are required to bring their own harness to complete the training. Harness kits and Anemometers are available to purchase in advance and collect on the day. These can be ordered by contacting the training team at training@nationwideplatforms.co.uk.

Training Courses

All training providers are suitably qualified and accredited to deliver training courses offered.

IPAF Certificates & Cards

All IPAF qualifications will now be distributed digitally via the IPAF ePAL app, if a physical card or certificate is required this can be purchased at a cost of £15 + VAT.  Please contact the training team prior to your course date to advise them of your requirements.

Food

For full day courses at a training centre, a light lunch may be provided at the depot.

Mobile Phones

The use of mobiles phones is not permitted on the course.

Photography & Video

Please be aware no photography or video use is permitted by delegates when training in our depots. No recording devices are permitted. Instructors may take digital photos.
