The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) accredits all our IPAF courses. Upon successful completion of one of our courses, we will provide you with a Powered Access Licence (PAL card) which is valid for 5 years.

Working in the construction, maintenance or industrial industry means you may have to use Powered Access Equipment. To operate this machinery, operators must undergo powered access training and become qualified. This is to ensure that proper safety measures are in place, as per the law. What Types of IPAF and MEWP Training are Available?

Here are several different types of IPAF and MEWP training available in Blackburn : 

IPAF Training Blackburn

IPAF 3A and 3B Operator Training: This training course will give learners the skills and knowledge they need to safely operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). These platforms include scissor lifts, cherry pickers and mobile booms such as articulated and electric boom lifts. If you want to learn how to safely operate and prepare equipment, and identify any potential hazards, this course is for you.

IPAF Harness Use and Inspection: In this course, attendees will learn how to inspect, select and don a harness. Learners will also gain an understanding of the legislation involved with harness use, such as work at height. This course is designed for supervisors, managers or operatives responsible for selecting and inspecting harnesses and lanyards for MEWPs usage.

IPAF Load Unload: You will learn how to safely load and unload through our experienced course conductors. You will gain knowledge on the legislation surrounding safe loading and unloading practices, and how to follow proper procedures. This includes safety inspections and how to position vehicles during loading and unloading safely.
