The half-day Fire Marshal training course covers the role of the designated fire marshal (also known as a fire warden). The candidate will learn how to identify fire hazards in the workplace to minimize risk and ensure that emergency procedures such as fire drills and evacuations are carried out appropriately.
As certified fire marshals, candidates will have gained the essential fire safety awareness and knowledge to make the workplace safer and to take appropriate actions in the event of a fire.
This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who are responsible for fire safety or who are designated fire marshals in their workplace. The course will help candidates to understand their duties as a fire marshal, how a fire may start and spread; how to assess and manage these risks in the workplace; and how to use firefighting equipment.
Fire marshal training courses last for half a day.
Candidates will receive training and advice covering the full role and responsibilities of a designated fire warden.
The course is accredited by the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE).

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the fire marshal course and attend all sessions to qualify for assessment.
Each candidate is assessed throughout fire warden training using a range of practical demonstrations, question and answer sessions, quizzes, and engaging activities, such as roleplay, designed to coach and support them.
On successful completion of the course, the candidate will receive a fire marshal certificate which is valid for three years. This fire safety training is accredited by the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE).
