What PAL, IPAF and MEWP training courses does NWP Durham provide?
IPAF Training Durham
IPAF 3A and 3B Operator Training: This course is for learners who want to become qualified and competent in operating a range of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) safely, such as scissor lifts, mobile booms, cherry pickers and electric booms.
On completion, learners will know how to prepare and operate equipment and mitigate/identify safety risks in line with legislation.
IPAF OP - Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom/Static Boom 3A 3B 1B: This course is designed for learners to gain knowledge on safe operation of MEWPs and for operators to renew an old licence.
IPAF OP - Static Booms 1B: This IPAF course is for learners who want to understand how to operate static boom lifts safely.
IPAF Harness: There are 3 different harness courses – either Harness Awareness which is done via e-learning, Harness User which teaches you how to don a harness correctly, and Harness Inspection which teaches you how to inspect a harness. If you are in a role such as a managerial position, a supervisor or operative responsible for harness and lanyards for MEWP usage, one of these courses is perfect for you.
IPAF Load Unload: Learners will learn through qualified, experienced instructors how to load, unload and position vehicles in a safe manner.
PASMA Training Durham
PASMA Towers for Users Course: Our qualified instructors provide learners with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to take down Mobile Aluminium Towers (MAT’s) in a safe manner.
During this programme, learners will learn how to mitigate risks and deal with hazards safely.
PAL Training Durham
PAL + 3A 3B: This course is optional, aimed at operators working in higher risk, challenging environments. If you’re an operator looking for extensive, specialised training, take this one day PAL + course.
PAL + Mobile Scissor/Boom: This is a one day, optional course targeted at individuals operating mobile scissor lifts/boom lifts in challenging environments.
