IPAF and PASMA Training Courses in Cardiff
Our Cardiff centre offers MEWP and IPAF training courses and accredited health and safety courses delivered by trainers with multiple years of experience and awards, to teach learners about the safe practices surrounding heavy machinery and powered access equipment.
At our Cardiff centre, we provide courses accredited by The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). Learners are provided with a Powered Access Licence (PAL card) which is valid for 5 years upon successful completion.
A variety of industries involve the use of powered access equipment, so it is essential operators complete a training course, so they know how to operate machinery in a safe manner. Operators should know how to:

What Types of IPAF and MEWP Training are Available in our Cardiff centre?
Here are the IPAF and MEWP training courses we provide in Cardiff:
IPAF Training Cardiff
IPAF 3A and 3B Operator Training: This programme will equip learners with the skills and knowledge they need to operate a range of Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) safely. This includes learning how to operate, prepare and identify the risks of equipment through cherry picker training, scissor lift training and electric and mobile boom lift training.
IPAF OP - Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom/Static Boom 3A 3B 1B: This course is for those wanting to learn how to safely operate MEWPS and renew their old operator licence.
IPAF OP - Static Booms 1B: This course teaches learners how to safely operate static boom lifts through a range of learning methods, such as hands-on demos from our award-winning conductors and practical and written evaluation.
IPAF Harness: There are 3 different harness courses – either Harness Awareness which is done via e-learning, Harness User which teaches you how to don a harness correctly, and Harness Inspection which teaches you how to inspect a harness. If you are in a role such as a managerial position, a supervisor or operative responsible for harness and lanyards for MEWP usage, one of these courses is perfect for you.
IPAF Load Unload or Load Unload +: If you’re wanting to learn how to safely load, unload and position vehicles and conduct safe transport inspections, this course is for you. Please note the Load Unload is for vehicles under 7.5 tonne, and the Load Unload + is for vehicles 7.5 tonne and above.
