IPAF Training Courses Didcot
IPAF and MEWP training in Didcot delivered by our fully trained, award-winning instructors. We also offer a wide range of accredited health & safety courses.
At our Didcot training centre, we offer MEWP and IPAF training courses delivered by highly qualified and experienced, award-winning conductors to teach learners about the safe practices of handling heavy machinery and powered access equipment.
Our courses are accredited by The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). Successful completion of one of these courses means learners are awarded with a Powered Access Licence (PAL card) which is valid for 5 years upon successful completion.
It is essential for operators to complete training before they operate any machinery as per the law. Operators should know how to:
- Conduct pre-use inspections
- Operate safely
- Conduct emergency procedures

What Types of IPAF and MEWP Training are Available in our Didcot centre?
We provide the following IPAF courses in our Didcot centre:
IPAF Training Didcot
IPAF 3A and 3B Operator Training: Upon completing this course, you will know how to safely and effectively operate, prepare and identify the risks of a range of Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) safely. This includes cherry pickers, scissor lifts, and electric and mobile boom lifts.
IPAF OP - Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom/Static Boom 3A 3B: If you are wanting to learn how to safely operate MEWPs or renew your old operator licence, this training programme is for you.
IPAF Harness: There are 3 different harness courses – either Harness Awareness which is done via e-learning, Harness User which teaches you how to don a harness correctly, and Harness Inspection which teaches you how to inspect a harness. If you are in a role such as a managerial position, a supervisor or operative responsible for harness and lanyards for MEWP usage, one of these courses is perfect for you.
IPAF Load Unload or Load Unload +: If you’re wanting to learn how to safely load, unload and position vehicles and conduct safe transport inspections, this course is for you. Please note the Load Unload is for vehicles under 7.5 tonne, and the Load Unload + is for vehicles 7.5 tonne and above.
