We offer a wide range of IPAF and MEWP training in Glasgow. At Glasgow NWP, our courses are conducted by our fully trained, award-winning instructors to equip learners with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to operate powered equipment in line with best industry practices and legislation. We also offer a wide range of accredited health & safety courses.
The courses at NWP Glasgow are all accredited by The International Powered Access Federation. Operators will receive a Powered Access Licence (PAL card) upon completion of the courses, which is valid for 5 years and universally recognised.
Operators of Powered Access Equipment are legally required to complete professional training.

IPAF training Glasgow:
IPAF 3A and 3B Operator Training: The programme aims to equip learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) safely. These MEWPs include cherry pickers, electric boom lifts, mobile booms, and scissor lifts.
By the end of the programme, learners will be able to identify and manage potential safety hazards, as well as effectively prepare for and operate the equipment.
IPAF OP - Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom/Static Boom 3A 3B 1B: This course is designed for those who wish to renew their old licence or acquire knowledge on how to safely operate MEWPs.
IPAF OP - Static Booms 1B: Learners will receive comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in operating static boom lifts in a safe manner. Our highly qualified instructors will conduct practical and written evaluations to ensure effective learning through hands-on demonstrations.
IPAF Harness: There are 3 different harness courses – either Harness Awareness which is done via e-learning, Harness User which teaches you how to don a harness correctly, and Harness Inspection which teaches you how to inspect a harness. If you are in a role such as a managerial position, a supervisor or operative responsible for harness and lanyards for MEWP usage, one of these courses is perfect for you.
IPAF Load Unload: Learners will be taught how to safely load, unload, and position vehicles in accordance with industry standards and legislation through this course.
PASMA Training Glasgow
PASMA Towers for Users Course: This course will provide learners with an understanding of the correct procedures for setting up and taking down Mobile Aluminium Towers (MATs) as well as identifying and managing potential hazards in compliance with industry best practices and legislation.
