What PAL, IPAF and MEWP training courses does NWP Southampton provide?
IPAF Training Southampton
IPAF 3A and 3B Operator Training: This course is designed for learners who aspire to become qualified and skilled in handling various MEWPs, including scissor lifts, mobile booms, cherry pickers, and electric booms.
By the end of this programme, learners will possess in-depth knowledge on equipment preparation, proficient operation, and effective identification and mitigation of safety risks, all in accordance with legislation.
IPAF OP - Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom/Static Boom 3A 3B 1B: This course is designed for learners to gain knowledge on safe operation of MEWPs and for operators to renew an old licence.
IPAF OP - Static Booms 1B: This IPAF course is for learners who want to understand how to operate static boom lifts safely.
IPAF Harness: There are 3 different harness courses – either Harness Awareness which is completed via e-learning, Harness User which teaches you how to don a harness correctly, and Harness Inspection which teaches you how to inspect a harness. If you are in a role such as a managerial position, a supervisor or operative responsible for harness and lanyards for MEWP usage, one of these courses is perfect for you.
IPAF Load Unload: Through this course, learners will acquire the necessary knowledge and techniques to adeptly load, unload, and position vehicles in accordance with safe industry practices and legislation.
PASMA Training Southampton
PASMA Towers for Users Course: Our qualified instructors provide learners with the essential skills, comprehensive knowledge, and hands-on experience necessary to efficiently dismantle Mobile Aluminium Towers (MATs) while learning how to mitigate risks and deal with hazards safely.
PAL Training Southampton
PAL + 3A 3B: This optional course is aimed at operators working in higher risk, challenging environments. If you’re an operator looking for extensive, specialised training, this one day PAL + course is for you.
PAL + Mobile Scissor/Boom: This is a one day, optional course targeted at individuals operating mobile scissor lifts/boom lifts in challenging environments.
