The PAL+ IPAF 3A & 3B Training Course in London is designed for experienced powered access operators who already hold a valid IPAF PAL Card. It builds on the standard 3A/3B training, challenging delegates to operate MEWPs in complex and high-risk environments safely and effectively.
On successful completion, operators will have the “+” qualification added to their PAL Card, recognised across the UK and internationally as proof of advanced MEWP competence. Since October 2013, this qualification has been a mandatory requirement for netters and steel erectors working under the UK Construction Group.
The course is designed to extend the knowledge and skills gained in standard IPAF training. You’ll cover:
A compact refresher theory session on health and safety responsibilities
Carrying out pre-use inspections and equipment checks
Advanced operating techniques for MEWPs in categories 3A (scissor lifts) and 3B (mobile booms)
Practical training with challenging real-life scenarios to test advanced ability
Hazard recognition, avoidance, and control measures
Written theory test, practical test, and instructor interview
Course Length: 1 day
Format: Theory refresher, advanced practical training, written & practical tests, plus interview
Assessment: Multiple-choice theory test, hands-on practical assessment, and instructor-led interview
