The PAL+ Mobile Scissor/Boom Training Course is designed for experienced IPAF-certified operators who need to prove their competence in more demanding and high-risk work environments. This advanced training builds on your existing PAL Card qualification, adding the “+” endorsement that demonstrates you can operate MEWPs safely and effectively under challenging conditions.
The course combines a compact theory session with intensive practical exercises, ensuring you can confidently meet the higher safety and operational standards required by UKCG (UK Contractors Group) and many construction employers.

Compact classroom-based theory refresher
Hands-on practical training in scissor and boom lifts
Challenging practical exercises replicating real-world hazards
Written and practical assessments
Successful candidates will:
Have the PAL+ qualification added to their existing PAL Card
Receive an updated IPAF PAL Card (digital via the ePAL app, with optional physical card at an additional cost)
Certification is valid for 5 years
The PAL+ endorsement is widely recognised across the UK and internationally as proof of advanced operator competence.

To attend, you must:
Hold a current IPAF PAL Card in the relevant category
Be physically fit and able to operate access equipment safely
Have a good understanding of written and spoken English
Bring suitable PPE, including:
Safety harness with lanyard
Hard hat (with chin strap preferred)
Hi-vis vest
Safety footwear
Eye protection
