Well, our courses are all accredited by The International Powered Access Federation, so your certificate will be universally recognised. Upon successfully completing the course, operators will be awarded a Powered Access Licence (PAL card) which is valid for 5 years.
The construction, maintenance and industrial trade, including many others, all use Powered Access Equipment. To align themselves with the law and safe industry practices, operators are required to complete a powered access training course to learn:

What Types of IPAF and MEWP Training are Available at Brentwood?
Here are the IPAF and MEWP training courses we provide in Brentwood:
IPAF Training Brentwood
IPAF 3A and 3B Operator Training: This programme is designed to give learners the knowledge and skills they need to operate a range of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) safely. These machines include scissor lifts, a range of mobile booms and electric boom lifts and cherry pickers. Learners will be able to successfully prepare and operate equipment and identify any hazards to mitigate safety risks.
IPAF OP - Mobile Vertical/Mobile Boom/Static Boom 3A 3B 1B: This course is perfect for operators who are wanting to renew their old licence. Learners will gain skills and knowledge in the safe operation of MEWPs.
IPAF OP - Static Booms 1B: During this course, attendees will gain experience on operating static boom lifts safely through hands-on demos, and practical and written evaluation.
IPAF Harness: There are 3 different harness courses – either Harness Awareness which is done via e-learning, Harness User which teaches you how to don a harness correctly, and Harness Inspection which teaches you how to inspect a harness. If you are in a role such as a managerial position, a supervisor or operative responsible for harness and lanyards for MEWP usage, one of these courses is perfect for you.
IPAF Load Unload or Load Unload +: If you’re wanting to learn how to safely load, unload and position vehicles and conduct safe transport inspections, this course is for you. Please note the Load Unload is for vehicles under 7.5 tonne, and the Load Unload + is for vehicles 7.5 tonne and above.
In our IPAF accredited training centres, you will learn:
- The health and safety regulations for each piece of equipment in accordance with the law and safe industry practices
- Safe industry standard practices for MEWPs and set by the IPAF
- Techniques to operate, drive and manoeuvre static boom lifts safely
PASMA Training Brentwood
PASMA Towers for Users Course: This safety course provides learners with the knowledge and experience they need to set up and take down Mobile Aluminium Towers (MAT’s) in a safe manner. Learners will understand how to deal with potential hazards of handling such equipment through practical demonstrations and hands-on guidance assisted by our award-winning instructors. Learners will also be taught about the laws, regulations and safety aspects of handling MATs.
PASMA Towers for Managers Course: For those who manage or supervise those who are erecting, dismantling or inspecting mobile aluminium towers.
